VARSITY HEAD COACH

JOSH BERTOLI

Coach Bertoli enters his 6th season with Lake Oswego. Coach Bertoli joins the Lake Oswego coaching ranks after working with Xcelerate Lacrosse, Rhino Lacrosse, and currently with Team Oregon Lacrosse. Before working with them, he coached two seasons at his alma mater, Cardinal Newman, in California. During his time with Cardinal Newman, he worked as both defensive coordinator and offensive coordinator over his two years with the team. 

Coach Bertoli graduated from Cardinal Newman High School in 2010. He went on to play at Oregon State University, where he won the PNCLL Conference Championship 3 out of his 4 years there.

He currently lives in Beaverton and works at Nike when he’s not spending time on the field.

Michael Schou

Coach Schou enters his third season with the Lakers. Prior to joining the LOHS staff, he led the 2017 North Shore team to victory at the Strucktown Showdown. He was the Head Coach of the 7/8th grade Select B team for LOYL in 2017. He also worked with Wilson Youth Lacrosse, Highlanders Lacrosse Club, and 3D Lacrosse Club.

Coach Schou played Varsity lacrosse at LOHS and was captain his senior year in 2013. He was captain on his 2010 World Cup team where they earned Silver in Manchester, England. He played at Oregon State taking 2nd in the PNCLL tournament in 2014. After an injury required him to retire from playing, he started coaching lacrosse in 2015.

Coach Schou is an Ocularist at his family business. When he’s not coaching, you can find him on the mountain at Mt. Hood Meadows or traveling the world looking for his next snowy adventure.

Seth Goddin

Coach Goddin enters his third season with the Lake Oswego Lakers. Previously, Coach Goddin coached two years as the Offensive Coordinator for North Shore and two years as the Offensive Coordinator at Wilsonville high school. He also coached for the local club program Rhino Lacrosse.

Coach Goddin graduated from Lake Oswego High School in 2012 and earned first team All Conference & All State Honorable Mention honors. He played one year of college lacrosse at NCAA DII Colorado Mesa University as a midfielder and three years at Oregon State University at attack. At OSU he lead the team in assists from 2013-2016 and helped his team to two national tournament appearances. 

Coach Goddin lives and works in Lake Oswego.

Head Strength Coach

Mark McLaughlin

Founder of Performance Training Center. Mark attended college at the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico. He is a native Oregonian currently living in Portland. His passion of all athletics flourished throughout his teen years. He participated and competed on various teams and in a variety of sports. Through his years of participation in sports and later in his education, Mark developed a deep commitment not just to sport but also to the complete well-being of the athlete. This passion and commitment leads to continual self-education in the field of athletic performance enhancement.

Mark has been active in the field of athletic performance enhancement since 1997. Mark has trained over 700 athletes on every competitive level ranging from Olympic, professional (NFL, MLB, CFL), college, high school and grade school athletes. As well as working with individual athletes, Mark consults with professional organizations (NFL, MLB, and NBA), NCAA universities, high school, club, and youth sport organizations. In addition to Mark’s remote online training, and consulting services, he conducts speaking engagements with various organizations locally, nationally as well as internationally.
